What I Wish I Had Known When I Started My Business... π€
You know that saying, "if it was easy, everyone would do it?"
I never thought running a business would be easy.
But I wish I had known that starting a business would mean I would have to be ok with not knowing how something was going to turn out and just go for it. πββοΈ
I also figured out pretty early on that even though I "get" technology, it's not always my best friend. That's why my virtual assistant, Julie, is my right-hand help when it comes to all things techy. π€
For the longest time, I thought there was only one way, "the" way to run a successful business. I mean, that's what all the biz gurus were saying. π€·ββοΈ
It's funny how some of these same things are what trip us up with our ADHD.
How many times have you been paralyzed by perfection so you don't start on a task?
Are you still trying to do something the neurotypical way because everyone says it "should be easy?"
Did you know not all ADHD presents itself in the same way? A strategy may work for one ADHDer but may not for someone else. There's no one size fits all...for ADHD or business.
I'm glad I learned the best way to help women who have recently been diagnosed with ADHD or live with ADHD-like symptoms build their emergency fund: with accountability, consistency, and by trying differently not harder.
What are you waiting for? Are you ready to build your $1K, $5K, or $10K emergency fund?
Let's do this!
Love, π€π
