I wanted to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how I run my online business day to day.
Read MoreI know that it can be hard to get things done with ADHD. 🙄
It's not because you're lazy or disorganized—it's because your brain just sees things differently than other people do. 🤷
You know that saying, "if it was easy, everyone would do it?"
I never thought running a business would be easy.
But I wish I had known that starting a business would mean I would have to be ok with not knowing how something was going to turn out and just go for it. 🏃♀️
Read MoreOoohhh! What a great idea for a newsletter! I better write it down before I forget.
It’s so much faster to type it out in Google Drive from my Chromebook than my phone. Where’s my Chromebook?
Read MoreGrowing up, my brother and I would spend what felt like hours reading his comic books during my parent's Saturday afternoon nap.
I loved getting lost in worlds where there was a clearly defined good guy and bad guy; which totally tracks with my strong sense of justice. 🤔
The good guy always took the high road and the bad guy was mostly out for himself.
My favorite superhero was and still is Wonder Woman. Don't even get me started on her invisible jet, truth lasso, and bracelets! 🦸♀️
Read MoreMy mom and aunt were natural born teachers. They were always grading papers or getting their lessons ready for the weekly Bible study.
Needless to say, I grew up around a ton of paper and writing instruments.
Maybe that's where my love of all things stationary started.
Today, I have a collection of gel pens and journals that bring me such great joy! 😁
You know how some people say they have a favorite pen? Yeah, not me. Every day I pull out my pencil case and arrange them in ROYGBIV order. Whatever pen color lights me up for the day is the one I'm going to use to journal.

“I see that orange, furry monster from Bugs Bunny.” (I'm Bugs Bunny in this scene. 😬)
"Katita, if you keep screaming like that none of the other little girls will play with you." 🥺🥺🥺
Thus began my journey of people pleasing, playing small, and staying under the radar.
Mom didn't mean for her comment to affect me the way it did. She didn't know that I was just so excited about EVERYTHING that I couldn't contain myself and so I would literally squeal in delight. 🤭
It’s tax season here in the US and Canada. Dun, dun, dun… 😱
Unfortunately for my ADHD peeps and I, we pay an ADHD tax on the regular.
I don’t know about you, but a lot has shifted in my world in 2022. It has taken me a LONG time to get this blog out because I’ve been stuck. 😬
So instead of trying to get it “biz right,” I’m just going to give it to you straight in the best way I know how.
I SEE YOU. I AM YOU. I GOT YOU. 😌
“So, you’re telling me the feeling I’ve always thought is adrenaline is actually anxiety?! But that’s what I’ve been using to move me towards my goals and deadlines all these years.” 😳
I was using anxiety as a coping strategy to manage my ADHD.
I am so grateful for my therapist, my doctor, and the exceptional tribe of women in the Empowered Sisterhood Group led by Ashely Looker. They helped me get through a very tough spot.

It sounded like the perfect scenario. We’d have a year to budget and save for the vacation. Neither Jay nor I had been on a cruise before and what better way to explore Europe for the first time than a somewhat structured trip? ✅
Oh the best laid plans…
I grew up in a home where anxiety and worry was more of the norm than trust and security. Needless to say, the more little Kathy thought she could control, the safer she felt. 😬
I mapped out my whole life by the time I was a freshman in high school. The master plan: go to college, get married, have kids, all while having a kick ass career.
Everything seemed to be on track until a month before our wedding my fiance called (from out of state, by the way) that he just couldn't go through with it.
"Please, Sir. Take my seat."
"Well, only if you're not older than me."
"How old are you?"
"I'm 91 years old and my wife and I are here celebrating our tenth anniversary!" 🥳
"I don't get it. How is it that everyone is walking around like everything is 'normal' and I'm losing it on the regular??!!" 😫
Gurl. Chica. Love.
It's all a facade!
What's really going on internally:
